About Me: I'm a 49-year old former Army Military Policeman. I'm originally from Carlisle, PA and have lived in FLA for 15 1/2 years. I'm opening my own business the first week in June after I get back from Reno for USBC Open Championships.
Music: I love classic Rock, but also like most stuff '80s and earlier. My favorite group is Huey Lewis and the News and my favorite song is "Dream On" by Aerosmith (I play it REALLLLLLLY LOUD before every bowling tournament I bowl in, it pumps me up).
Movies: As a lifelong Red Sox and Notre Dame fan, my favorite movies of all time are "Fever Pitch" and "Rudy". I like Clint Eastwood movies, especially "High Plains Drifter" and "Dirty Harry" (My very 1st R-Rated movie. My dad took me to see it). I also like old war movies like "The Great Escape" and "Bridge Over the River Kwai".
TV: Boston Legal, The Amazing Race are my favorites. I don't watch "Idol", period!
Books: Don't read many books, but do like most of the major bowling magazines, BTM (Bowling This Month)is very helpful.
Likes: Bowling (of course), golf, watching my daughter play softball, RVing, family time.
Dislikes: Bowlers that brag that they are all that. If you are good, people know it. Also hate "One House Wonders" and the bitchers and complainers about lane conditions. I have a towel that says it all. It's Not the Ball, It's Not the Lanes, IT'S YOU!! Everybody will have a bad night, accept it. Maybe learn how to play a different part of the lane, not just your 2nd arrow house shot. Sometimes you just don't bowl well. Just Shut Up and Bowl.
Hobbies: I am a USBC certified coach and love to help any bowler improve his/her game.
Vices: Gave up smoking 21 years ago and drinking 2 years ago, so I guess that takes care of that
Heroes: My Dad. He taught me more things than I can count.

    Welcome to my Bowling World

Hello out there in the cyber bowling world. I hope by joining this site, I can share thoughts and information with all of the good and not-so-good bowlers of the world. I love this game and want to do all I can to get as many people to learn this game and for them to get as good as they can get. I have bowled for many years and have had my share of successes and failures. I am a certified coach and love helping people with little tips or full-fledged lessons, as long as they are willing to listen and try to get better. I coach kids, as well as adults and my biggest thing when coaching is to never say anything that is negative. Always say something positive. That is the best way to get someone to listen to you and for them to respond in a positive manner. Don't tell a bowler they did this wrong or that wrong, aske them if they followed through, or did they hit their mark? You will get a much better response than with a negative comment.

Hey Tony, I doubt you've checked this for a while, but if you have, just thought I'd say "hi". I'm also from Carlisle, PA, but I haven't moved away quite as far as you have...I'm only in McConnellsburg, about 1 hour away. I still bowl in Carlisle at Strike Zone on the Barracks, but have previously bowled at the Eagles & Midway Bowling Center. Hope the season is going well. Drop me a line sometime!
